Volunteer with Sylva
Sylva has a small and dedicated team of staff but we would be unable to achieve much of what we do without the
generous support of donors, partners and volunteers.
We welcome the support of any person who would like to help us in a voluntary capacity.
For some people the motivation may be a personal passion for our work and a belief that they have a particular
skill that could be of use to us. For others, particularly young people, they may be keen to gain relevant experience.
Case Study: Jane King
Jane is currently supporting Sylva by project managing the creation and installation of exhibitions for our OneOak project during 2011 and 2012.

Case Study: Marga Beuth
Marga came across a Sylva exhibition at a local event. She thought that the charity would benefit from some of her marketing experience. She is currently working with our Chief Executive in helping to develop a marketing strategy for the organisation.

Case Study: Angus Beaton
Angus Beaton is a photographer who works extensively overseas, particularly in Iraq. He has a personal passion for woodlands and was introduced to Sylva’s work by a friend. Angus is volunteering with Sylva to create a portfolio of personal portraits of the woodworkers in the OneOak project.
