We will be following the carbon story, from an estimation of how much carbon was contained in the tree, to a calculation of the final carbon footprints of some of the products.

	Researchers at Forest Research will be estimating the carbon content of the tree. This will start with measurements of the leaf area of the tree during Summer 2009.
	TreeMetrics will be using terrestrial laser scanning equipment to create an exact 3D digital model of the tree. This will allow us to estimate its volume.
	We will be creating some carbon tools on this page with Best Foot Forward when we start work on the tree and producing products.
