A personal appeal from myForest coordinator Alistair Yeomans
Welcome to the myForest site.
Sylva created the myForest service in April 2010 to support the wood community in managing Britain's woodlands sustainably. By doing so Sylva aims to help woodlands thrive both ecologically and economically as this will ultimately benefit everyone.
Since launching myForest more than 470 woodland owners and managers have registered and mapped over 10,000 hectares of woodland. Additionally many forestry and wood businesses have joined the myForest directories, which help promote the local supply of woodland produce.
We are committed to keeping the myForest service free. We have a small number of staff and run a tight budget but as a charity we do need to cover our costs. Therefore we welcome donations to support the future development of myForest.
If you find the site useful, and are able to, please consider giving a donation to the Sylva Foundation. Any donation would be welcome; a one-off £5 or £20, or perhaps a regular £3 a month?
We welcome feedback on the service and your thoughts on how we can improve myForest in the future.
Thank you,
Sylva Foundation
